Why Utica University

  • Campus Life: Utica University's 128-acre campus is located in a largely residential section of west Utica. Visitors to Utica University will notice a number of distinctive features, including expansive lawns and green spaces, walkways lined flower beds and ornamental plantings, a large number of mature trees, examples of outdoor sculpture, and significant new construction and recently completed facilities.
  • Facilities: Utica Universities' facilities include over 25 different buildings/areas. Some of the facilities included are science centers, resident halls, student centers, athletic centers, and more. To highlight one of the facilities, there is F. Eugene Romano Hall. Through a diverse college community, students can feel free to express themselves and their thoughts while gaining valuable exposure to different perspectives and ideas in positive ways.
  • Location: The Utica area is a place rich in history and cultural heritage, with many of the benefits of a larger community, plus easy access to recreational areas and other attractions. Students can go shopping, catch a movie, get an amazing meal, see a Broadway production, visit a first-class art museum, and even do some downhill skiing, all within a few minutes’ ride of campus. Just north of Utica is the Adirondack Mountains, a prime destination for skiing, boating, hiking, and more. Head south and there’s Cooperstown, the birthplace of baseball.
