The Ivy League, and Other Titans
When thinking of top-ranked American universities, the eight Ivy League universities likely come to mind. These private research universities have a long history of academic excellence鈥攊n fact, seven are among the US’ original nine colonial colleges. In the 2024 U.S. News & World Report’s ranking, each one placed in the top 18.
