You may be eligible for a two-year, location-restricted work permit under the Yukon Community Project if you have a valid nomination for permanent residence from the Yukon.

About the Work Permit
The work permit, which is valid for two years, enables you to work for up to three different employers in one of the six participating Yukon communities. Fortunately, it doesn’t require a .
The following six Yukon communities are currently participating in the Yukon Community Pilot:

- Dawson City
- Haines Junction

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Yukon Community Pilot, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have two or three job offers that meet the eligibility requirements below
- Have obtained a signed letter of support from the Government of Yukon

Job Offer Requirements
All job offers must:

- Be located in the same participating community
- Offer at least 30 hours of work per week, which is the equivalent of a full-time job
- Be non-seasonal, e.g., consistent and regularly scheduled paid employment throughout the year
- Pay minimum wage (C$13.71 per hour as of April 1, 2020) or higherÂ
Required Documents
You will need to include the following documents with your application:
- A copy of the nomination letter from the Government of Yukon stating that you’ve been nominated for permanent residence
- A signed letter of support from the Government of Yukon confirming:
- That the employers who are offering you the jobs need you to work as soon as possible
- That all job offers are genuine
- Specific details of the job offers, including:
- Names of the employers
- Job titles
- Number of hours you will work per week
- Job locations
